About Us

MIssion and Vision

Here B Dragons is a new nonprofit initiative navigating the human consequences of the technological revolution, asking a central question of our times: “What sort of humans are we becoming?”

By bridging social science research, historical analysis, and artistic experimentation, we counter digital angst by asking how we can co-evolve with technology in a healthier, more democratic way.

We pursue this mission through three channels:

  1. Publishing in-depth articles, essays, and educational resources that examine the challenges and opportunities of emerging technologies.
  2. Organising public, interdisciplinary events that brings experts and communities together to foster healthy, human-centered technological habits; and
  3. Providing consulting services for companies, universities, and interested parties navigating an ever-changing digital landscape.

Like past civilisations that marked unknown territories with mythological beasts, we see today’s technological landscape as an uncharted frontier requiring exploration.

The Founders

Elin Jusélius has a background in Sociology, Fine Arts and corporate governance analysis. She holds a Master’s in Historic Preservation from Pratt Institute in New York and is co-owner and designer at Jusélius Hausammann GmbH, working in graphic design and web design. She has a deep interest in historical research as a means of understanding ourselves, and where we are headed.

Deniz Daser holds a PhD in Anthropology and is an External Lecturer in Sociology at the University of St. Gallen (HSG), where she teaches courses on technology, work, media, and climate change. She has also worked as a freelance editor and research consultant in Switzerland, assisting researchers and academic institutions including EPFL and the University of Lausanne in developing manuscripts for publication.

This partnership bridges social sciences, art, and history to bring an innovative perspective to the evolution of technology. HBD is not their first collaboration. Elin and Deniz previously collaborated at a tech-oriented non-profit organization where they co-developed an automated chatbot designed to support survivors of domestic violence during the COVID-19 lockdowns.
